Old Friends is a side mission in Control.
Obtaining
It becomes available by speaking to Simon Arish at Central Executive after returning from the first visit to the Panopticon.
Overview
- Mission start
- Arish tells Jesse about his Ranger friends and how they are due back from an expedition. He knows they weren't wearing HRAs and expects the worst. He asks Jesse to retrieve a memento each of his old squad buddies wore around their necks.
- Mission end
- Jesse collects the silver bullets from each of Arish's old squad mates, all of whom had been corrupted by the Hiss.

- Defeat Hiss-corrupted Remus (Maintenance / NSC Energy Converters)
- Speak with Arish (Executive / Central Executive)
Hints
- The Hiss Warped Guy is waiting close to the Control Point in the Atlas Chamber. He may become assistance from some Hiss Guards.
- FBC Guards may be already present at Black Rock Processing and assist Jesse Faden with defeating the Hiss Trooper Hazzard.
- At ventilation, FBC Rangers may assist Jesse during the fight with Cho who himself has become a Hiss Ranger.
- In the Black Rock Quarry, Astral Spikes still linger around after the events of the earlier mission at this Threshold. Thomson also has become a Hiss Ranger; he can be found not far from the quarry entrance.
- Heptonstall has become a Hiss Distorted, while Remus is able to make use of Levitation.
