Grip is the initial Form of the Service Weapon after being bound to Jesse Faden. Unlike the other Forms, it cannot be constructed but was found by Jesse when she examined the loud noise in the Director's Office. Polaris ordered her to pick up the gun, to be able to defend herself against the first enemy encounters in the Oldest House.

Characteristics

Grip is a standard sidearm Weapon Form similar to a pistol. It has high accuracy and single-shot damage, and is suitable for most encounters. Though not an Astral Construct itself, upgrades can be constructed at any Control Point.

Upgrade Grip

Grip can be upgraded twice as an Astral Construct at a Control Point when the required materials have become available to Jesse Faden. The option is shown, together with the exact numbers needed, when at least one specimen of each material has been collected and is present in the Loadout. On top of materials, Source is also consumed in the upgrade process. Each upgrade unlocks an additional Mod slot and increases the weapon's base damage.
