Mold Removal is a side mission in Control.
Obtaining
After Jesse Faden has brought a sample of Mold-1 to Raya Underhill, she is informed by the latter that a number of Mold Hosts have been sighted beyond the Active Threshold.

Walkthrough

This mission involves clearing out three groups of three Mold Hosts around the Research Sector. Underhill, bemoaning the incompetence of her Ranger escorts Andy and Steve, will enlist Jesse to conduct cleanup. The Hosts can be tracked down via signs of Mold in the surroundings. The three relevant areas are Parapsychology, the Ritual Division, and Central Research, in no specific order.
- Central Research: Exiting the elevator up from the Active Threshold to the east will reveal Mold around the entrance to Lab 01; inside, one of the Hosts can be found. Further to the south, past the cafeteria, Mold leads into the first of the two restrooms, where the second Host can be found. The third Host is inside a Hidden Location, far above on the wall beneath a window near the balcony to Luck & Probability. There are several options to kill the Host behind the window, including Levitation and brute force, or the use of explosives or other items to break the window.
- Parapsychology: Signs of Mold from the first two Hosts around Parapsychology can be seen through the window showing the entrance to the Astral Exhibition and around the entrance to the Extrasensory Lab. In the Extrasensory Lab, the Host is found in the southern area of the subsection. Following the shifted path near the Parapsychology Elevator, the second Host can be found on the upper level of Parakinesiology. The third one is located in the main room of the Astral Exhibition which formerly housed an Astral Spike.
- Ritual Division: One Host is hiding in restroom between the Luck & Probability offices and the main hall of the Ritual Division. Mold in front of the doors to the Synchronicity Lab will point to the presence of the second Host in the Ritual Division within this subsection, where it can be found on the rear upper level. The third Host is inside the Ritual Office; Jesse must use the local elevator to find and kill it.
After all nine Mold Hosts are eradicated, return to Dr. Underhill. She will mention sending burn teams to sanitize the locations. The mission will complete, and Jesse will be rewarded some material, a Weapon Mod, and two Ability Points.
