Finland is a country located in Northern Europe, and is where the Finnish language originates from.

History

When asked by Jesse Faden where Ahti is from, Simon Arish states that he believed Ahti immigrated from Finland. Throughout Control, Ahti will reference the country in sayings, Finnish words and accent.

The town of Wattery, Washington, U.S.A. is described on a postcard as "America's little Finland", which is also where Ahti's Cabin is located.
