| “ | The Devil got in my house cuz of the fish and you got to come handle it. My wife is real upsit. When can you come? | ” |
Dwayne Barr was a man who wrote a letter collected by the Federal Bureau of Control.
Background
Dwayne bought a singing fish wall decoration for his wife, but things took a turn for the worse afterwards. He claimed that the fish began to fly around their house at nighttime, singing "Devil songs" and cursing, greatly upsetting his wife. They called the police, but they did not respond to his request for help. He then wrote a letter (with many misspelled words) to the governor of his state, asking for the government to send people to help them remove the singing fish. However, the letter was ultimately intercepted by the FBC and catalogued in the Dead Letters Archive.[1]
