Biography
Mrs. Carver was admitted to a mental ward for "emotional instability" soon after relocating to Illinois with her family in 1914. On August 18, 1915, Carver was put into an lunatic asylum, her doctor misogynistically concluding she was showing signs of "Hysteria, Bad Company, and Imaginary Female Trouble" revolving around what he considered a "fixation" with the family and would remain until Mrs. Carver was cured. It is implied here that Carver had traveled to the Victorian Mirror's duplicate reality.
